How to learn from your MCQ mistakes

A practice score is a snapshot of one session. The useful part is discovering what you understand and which reasoning needs work.
Attempt before reading the answer
Choose your answer from your own understanding. If you are unsure, note what made the options difficult to distinguish.
Explain the correct answer
After checking the explanation, write one short sentence stating why the correct option fits. Where possible, also explain why the closest alternative does not fit.
Group mistakes by cause
- Concept not understood.
- Fact forgotten or outdated.
- Arithmetic error.
- Instruction misread.
- Guess made without enough information.
Return to the source
For a concept, revisit a reliable learning resource. For an examination rule, current legal provision or economic figure, check the applicable official source and its date. Avoid memorizing an answer that is no longer current.
Practise again later
Try a new question testing the same idea. If you can explain the reasoning without looking at the previous answer, you have a better basis for moving on.
Learning sessions on this site use simple scoring. An official examination can have different timing and penalties; follow its published scheme.
