Prepare with a clearer plan
Understand your target exam, build the fundamentals, and learn from every practice answer.
Build your fundamentals
Choose your exam stage first. A pretest checks broad objective knowledge; a bank’s main written papers require post-specific explanation, calculations and analysis. Match the bank, post, level and syllabus version before studying.
Pretest / पूर्वयोग्यता
Use the separate Sangathit Sanstha Level 4 and Level 5 topic maps. The published schemes use 50 MCQs in 45 minutes; always confirm the instructions for your recruitment cycle.
- Geography, environment and population
- History, culture and social awareness
- Economy and development
- Constitution and governance
- International relations and organizations
- Science, health, ICT and current affairs
- Office and public management
- Public enterprises and institutions
- Applied mathematics and quantitative reasoning
- English and Nepali language: additional Level 5 section
Start with accuracy, then practise timed sets and review wrong answers. Short sets are topic exercises. You can also start our original 50-question, 45-minute Level 4 model; it follows the published section weights but is not an official examination paper.
Written exam / लिखित परीक्षा
Study the papers for your exact institution and post. A common pretest syllabus does not replace the main bank syllabus.
- Banking: functions, deposits, credit, payments, central banking and risk
- Accounting and finance: transactions, statements, analysis and numerical workings where prescribed
- Economics: money, inflation, development and policy application
- Management and governance: planning, organization, leadership, control and accountability
- Mathematics and IT: applied calculations, digital systems and security where prescribed
- Banking laws and institutional rules: read the acts, directives and bank-specific documents named in your syllabus
The practice page includes concept MCQs and a separate written-practice section. RBB Level 5 also has objective components within its main scheme; follow that paper’s format rather than assuming every written stage is entirely subjective.
Bank-specific Level 4 written practice
Each route has its own official topic map and original bilingual written exercises. Shared Paper I concepts remain separate.
Choose your written-paper route
| Career route | Study focus and next step |
|---|---|
| NRB Assistant | Paper I: banking, accounting, mathematics and IT. Paper II: economics, management and laws. Use subjective answers as well as concept checks. |
| NBL / RBB / ADBL Level 4 | Open the combined syllabus and match its papers to your actual bank advertisement. Separate common material from institution-specific requirements. |
| RBB Level 5 Administration or Cash | Choose the correct group. The Administration scheme combines objective and short-answer work in Paper I with subjective Paper II. Do not substitute Administration material for the Cash syllabus. |
| RBB Level 6 Administration | Economics and banking; governance and office management. Practise structured, analytical written answers. |
| NBL Level 6 Assistant Manager | Economics, money and banking; management and finance. Show reasoning and numerical steps where relevant. |
| ADBL Level 6 Business Officer / NRB Assistant Director | Use the exact current post-specific document in our syllabus library. Detailed paper maps are still under review. |

A practical weekly routine
- Make two checklists: pretest topics and your bank’s written-paper topics.
- Alternate broad objective revision with one written subject each day.
- For MCQs, record the reason for every mistake. For written answers, use the question’s command word, relevant points and a realistic example.
- Show formulas, assumptions, units and workings in numerical answers.
- Recheck changing legal and economic facts against official sources before revision.
